Two Established Firms Pool Interests, Create Better Experience for Clients
Founded in 1948 and 1955, our firms have a wealth of experience to offer our clients. This merger will fulfills a strategic plan to accomodate future growth in Redding. Combined, the two firms will have 115 employees, 62 CPAs and 120 years of experience.
"We are very excited about merging because they bring a lot of talent to the table," said Jim Holt, managing director of Matson and Isom, which has an office on Hemsted Drive in Redding. "We are looking at it as a pooling of interests."
Nystrom clients will continue to see familiar faces.
"There is no change in personnel. Everyone who is here will stay here," Tavares said. "It's not like they are buying us out and we are retiring. But clearly, they are the larger firm, so in the end the name will be Matson and Isom."
The change took effect Oct. 1, at which time both firms united under the single name, Matson and Isom, Certified Public Accountants.
